The difference between HD and Transparent Lace
When asked the difference, in regards to HD and Transparent Lace frontals and closures used for wigs and/or extensions, I’d have to say transparency! Yes, there are other factors, but they weigh close to nothing when it comes to looking and feeling as natural as possible when rocking your lace closures and/or frontals. Although both products are amazing and blend well with most skin tones, the level of transparency is where you will undoubtedly find the greatest difference.
Transparent lace tends to be less expensive and more durable. It is also more accessible, making it more commonly used.
However, this lace is a nice addition to any wig or extension style. When installed properly with the use of the many amazing styling tools on the market today, lace closures and frontals go unnoticed. Transparent lace is more common and used to be the best, but now it’s taking a back seat to HD human hair lace closures and frontals.
HD Lace and Frontals: The strands of the hair on HD human hair closures have knots that are almost invisible.
HD lace requires little to no cover-up or blending products. The downfall to HD human hair frontals and closures, if any, would be the fact that they tend to be more fragile than transparent lace due to the thinness of the lace. HD Lace is best known for its most natural appearance. For undeniable reasons, HD lace has become very popular. The thin feel, slight stretch, almost invisible hair knots, and light tone all work together to create the best illusion of “transparency” and blend.
