The Difference Between Raw and Virgin Hair

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RAW AND VIRGIN HAIR IS THAT RAW HAIR HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED WHERE AS VIRGIN HAIR HAS BEEN STEAMED PROCESSED TO GIVE THE HAIR ITS TEXTURE.

Raw hair is considered the supreme of all human hair. It is known to come from a single donor. Although the patterns may vary, true raw hair comes in 3 textures straight, wavy and curly. Raw hair is 100% natural, neither the texture and tone have not been altered. Raw hair is known for its aligned cuticles. When cared for properly raw hair stands the test of time.

Raw hair behaves like human hair grown from the scalp.

Raw hair is 100% natural and requires moisture, conditioning, and proper care. (Refer to our Tresses Care Instructions for details on how to care for your raw or virgin hair).

The supply of raw hair can be limited which may make it difficult to find. We take pride in offering you Tresses Raw Collection.

Virgin hair is 100% human hair that may have been steam treated to achieve various textures, but remains unprocessed. Outside of the possibility of color, no chemicals, straightening or any other treatment has been performed to create virgin hair. Virgin hair textures include Malaysian, Peruvian and Brazilian, just to name a few of the many origins.

Although virgin hair may come from multiple donors this hair is a great alternative to raw hair.

Each bundle has cuticles intact adding to the beauty of virgin hair.

Virgin hair accommodates different hair textures and wave patterns. This hair comes in all textures including kinky curly, deep wave and body wave.
